Happy New Year, guys! I know I’m super late saying that, but work with me here. January is the month that represents new beginnings. A clean slate to start anew. For many, that could mean starting a new active lifestyle. I’ve always been a huge fan of Lane Bryant’s activewear. In the most recent years, they’ve really gone above and beyond with design and fit. I love that their activewear isn’t boring or basic. A couple months ago, Lane Bryant reached out to me to shoot a few of their Livi Activewear pieces in a major campaign. To be honest, I was shocked. Though things in the fashion industry are changing, it’s rare that a woman like me, who fluctuates between a size 18-24, is in a major campaign, let alone an activewear campaign. They recognize women who wear activewear and those who live an active lifestyle come in all shapes and sizes, and they deserve to see themselves in advertisements. I will forever support Lane Bryant and their efforts to make fashion accessible to plus-size women.
Lane Bryant sent me some of the new Livi Activewear pieces to style. I love it! The fit of Livi Activewear is incredible. They have these new sculpting leggings that offer leg and tummy support, which is extremely important to me when it comes to activewear. There is nothing worse than not being able to focus on your cardio because your leggings keep rolling down. The high-waisted and tummy control waistband prevents the legging from rolling down. It also has a dry wick airy fabric that keeps you cool and prevents the sweat from showing on your leggings. I love this black mesh sculpting legging. I find myself wearing it more often than I should. I get tons of compliments whenever I wear them. These leggings are the truth. I’m also obsessed with this hot pink top. It has an open crisscross detail in the back that’s really pretty. The sleeves have a mesh design that is similar to that of the black leggings. When I wore this outfit to the Livi Activewear event, many of the event attendees left with the exact same items, too. This is the perfect set. Below are some pictures of the items.
