It’s officially love month and this is the first month in years that I am single. Although I have moments of sadness, I’m truly happy to be with just me. This month, I’m dedicated to falling back in love with me. I’m taking myself out on dates, treating myself to a few of my favorite things, and discovering new things that make me happy.
The best part about dating is getting dressed up. When I go out, I dress to kill. So, when I spotted this gorgeous black dress from Reformation at Nordstrom, I knew I just had to have it. I’ve heard many great things about Reformation from my favorite influencers and bloggers and decided to try it for myself. I’m so happy I did. Everything from the construction, fit and style of the dress was spot on. I didn’t want to take it off. Nordstrom has a wide selection of stylish plus size options for every fashionista.
Talk about a dress that stops traffic. I got tons of compliments wearing this dress. Trust me, it’s worth every penny!
I love a good heel. I spotted these red mesh Sam Edelman heels and knew it would be the perfect pair of shoes to go with this traffic stopping dress. I’ve talked about my shoe struggle often. Finding a cute heel in a size 12 can often be a hassle. However, I was so excited to see this shoe in a size 12 and many other shoes on the Nordstrom site in my size. It’s nice to know that having bigger feet doesn’t mean I have to sacrifice style. I ordered these in red, but I also got them in black. When you find the perfect shoe, you have to get them in every color, right? Every woman deserves a little luxury, right? I treated myself to this YSL clutch (similar) and it was the right amount of sass to add to complete my look. My solo date night look was so on point.
During this month, you will be bombarded with messages of love for a partner. Going on dates and being with someone special. These messages can make you feel bad if you don’t have someone. I encourage you to go above and beyond for yourself this month. Take yourself out on a nice date. Go to the spa, drink champagne with your girls, and do any and everything that makes you happy. The best love you will ever have in this lifetime is the love for yourself. So celebrate you!
