When they reminisce over you.

The best thing about memories is making them.

"Back in the day when things were cool

We used to meet up with these dudes

Then we'd roll out on hopes and truths

And would ride around the park till its after dark

Pumpin' the trunk with the windows rolled up"

-Erykah Badu

Confession: I'm one of those weirdos who sits at home on a Friday night and listens to old school jams, while reminiscing on all of the trouble I use to get into. Man, I was a mess, but I loved every single minute of it. I've embarrassed myself a lot and I'm sure there's a few people who could tell you a story (or five) about my crazy past. Drunken nights, late night phone calls, school dances, and even those weird boys I use to like (wish I could erase a few of those memories). I don't regret anything I've done. It's so cliche to say that, but seriously, through it all I've lived a pretty amazing life. I wish I could relive those memories.

I love those random memories that make me smile no matter what's going on in my life right now

We only regret the chances we didn't take.

Thank you for the memories.

That made me think about the phrase "Carpe Diem".  So many people are afraid to "seize the day" and just LIVE because of what others may say or feel about them. Living can be as simple as wearing an article of clothing or dancing, telling someone you love them, or even traveling outside or your city. Why do we put our lively hood in other's hands? So many people are watching others live life while their life passes them by. Think about this, when you're dead and gone, what will your legacy be? People watcher? Life judger? Always home on a Friday night? When will you take the time out to enjoy this beautiful life you were given? I pray I leave behind a legacy worth knowing. That I was able to help women of all shapes, sizes and ethnicities, not only love their bodies but also be willing to try different fashion styles. I want to be known for rebelling against the status quo.  And I want to inspire others to do the same.

Carpe that fucking Diem, after a while the memories will be all you have.
