Nike Plus Size Sports Bras

Hey guys! Welcome to my new site! I hope you love it as much as I do. I reached out to the wonderful people over at Foxtrot Branding for a website refresh and they exceeded my expectations!! I wanted something that anyone could look at and say, that is Essie Golden lol. I plan on coming back with weekly content like I used to so stay tuned and subscribe!

I’m back with another Nike collaboration but this time with my Thicklaces team! If you’ve been following me on Instagram then you know the sneaker obsession has been taken to another level. Myself and my friend Katie of Kurvy Katie came together to start a sneaker/ streetwear community for plus size women. We both have a huge love of sneakers and we both saw how plus size women as always were being left out of the conversation when it came to sneaker culture and sneakers. So we started Thicklaces.

Thicklaces is a community for plus size women who love sneakers and streetwear. This community is dedicated to showing style, giving sneaker education, and fashion tips on how to wear athleasuire!

Nike was kind of enough to partner with us on our first collaboration! I’ll be very honest. I talk about my bra struggles often. As a woman who wear a “K” cup the options of regular bras are limited. Add in a supportive sports bra it’s almost impossible. Nike sent me a black sports bra to style and I tossed it to the side. I didn’t even want to try it. I see women of all shapes and sizes wear nike sports bras and I’m filled with envy because I’ve never been able to do that. Luckily boredom struck and the bra fit! O-M-G I was in the mirror face timing friends showing them this magical bra I’ve found. They weren’t as excited as I was but they were happy for me lol.

The support is pretty good. This is a bra that I would find comfortable enough to wear around the house or to even run errands. For me personally I would wear a wired bra to workout in. These babies require military style support but I’m very happy with the fit of this bra. It’s long enough in the back that it offers a lot of back support and enough coverage in the front so that there is no spillage. Nike, you guys killed it!
