Relaxation With SheaMoisture
*This post is sponsored but all opinions are my own*
It’s the most stressful time of the year. The holiday season is my absolute favorite season, but this season does result in stress. Finding the perfect gift, last minute gifts, traveling, and visiting friends and family can drive you absolutely crazy. It can feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day to take care of everything and everyone. When things get overwhelming, I like to check into a hotel or commit an hour or two of my day to taking care of myself. Below are some of the things I do to take care of me.
I love, and I mean LOVE, checking into a nice New York City or Brooklyn Hotel. Living in a busy city like New York is stressful enough, but add in the holiday season, and the stress is turned up a million notches. Checking into your favorite hotel to be treated like the queen or king you are is a must. I dine on room service or order Postmates, I take a bath using some of my favorite SheaMoisture products, I play a soothing playlist and I put my phone on Do Not Disturb. It’s the best feeling ever.
I can’t always afford to do the staycation thing. For the times that I can’t, I make myself an at-home spa. I take a nice hot bath using the SheaMoisture Coconut & Hibiscus Foaming Milk & Body Wash. It smells incredible and leaves your skin feeling very soft and moisturized. Towards the end of my bath, I love to use the Coconut & Hibiscus Hand & Body Scrub. When I’m taking a bath, I use it on my feet. It gets rid of dead skin and makes your feet feel so soft. I will also do a full body scrub if I’m taking a shower. It smells incredible and the scrub is packed with Vitamin E oil, which leaves your skin feeling moisturized.
I’m allll about a good facemask. Especially during the harsh winters. I need as much moisture as I can get. One of my absolute favorites is the SheaMoisture Comforting Milk Mask. Talk about HYDRATION. I leave it on for 10 minutes and my skin feels incredible. This one is sold out online but, there are a lot of great masks from SheaMoisture that help with all kinds of skin needs.
Staycation, at home spa, or just a simple facemask. Giving yourself a couple of minutes, hours or even a day of relation is the best thing you can do for yourself. Not only will it help you relieve stress, but your skin will thank you.
Thank you for reading. What is one of your favorite ways to relax during this holiday season?
